Rather a slow week - didn't really do anything until Friday when the A65 got a new oil pump fitted.

The crankshaft seemed to be catching something when turned - removed everything connected to it and it still caught.

Sunday and it was back to the A65 engine.  To cut a long story short, it was the new oil pump stud which was protruding into the crankcase,

Cut a few threads off the end of the stud, refitted it, and tried turning the crank . . .  everything was fine.
