The B31 is all happy again now that the carb has been boiled in washing powder.
Monday saw my "book your appointment" letter arrive - so I booked myself in at Tipton for tomorrow dinnertime.
Tuesday and I took the MZ over to Tipton and had my Covid-19 vaccination.
Wednesday and Thursday I spent indoors - it was a bit too cold for enjoyable work in the garage.
Friday and my Goldie rear wheel came back home - it seems it can't be fitted with a cush drive sprocket.
Time for plan "B" - buy a Japanese wheel and make it fit.
Saturday and the B31 didn't start first kick - this is unheard of.
By the feel of it, the pilot circuit in the carb is bunged up.
Sunday and the carb off the B31 had a good boiling in washing powder.
This works well - the agitation of the boiling shifts stuff, and the washing powder cleans everything out.
Put it back on, and normal service was resumed.
