The bike lift is out of action. The hydraulic ram is badly scored - no idea how or why it happened. I only hope I can get a replacement ram assembly.
Monday and it was back to work on the A65 - this time spacing the starter motor out by a few thou.
Then it was off to the Royal Castle for a curry - then on to the Beehive for a while.
Tuesday and I did a bit more on the A65
It's now official that the Food Stop Café is closing for good on the 22nd of the month. . . . . It seems Ade and Karen are calling it a day.
Wednesday and I took a little push bike ride in and around Dartmouth Park.
Thursday saw DOT getting a new silicone bottom hose.
Friday and the A65 went out on test - the clutch works fine now that it's back running in oil.
Keeping the oil in there is another matter . . . . work still in progress.
Saturday and the A10 cylinder head got new valve guides and a few new fins.
On the downside, I opened the garage to find the bike bench halfway down and a pool of hydraulic oil on the floor.
Sunday and I took a look at the bike bench.
Somehow the hydraulic ram has been badly scored - too badly damaged to just fit a new seal kit.
Looks like I'll be hunting for a new ram unit.
