One of the risks you take when having general anaesthetic is the breathing tube damaging your teeth.
Monday night and I'm off to Heartlands, with a nil by mouth - surgery tomorrow it appears.
Tuesday and they tell me the surgery has been cancelled - ah well at least I can have some dinner
Wednesday and it's my birthday - so you can guess when I had the surgery. What a birthday present.
Thursday and the surgical team all happy that the blood clot is no more.
Friday and the physio team are happy for me to go home - in fact it should have been later today, but then got put back.
Saturday and I'm back home - only 83 days in various hospitals - only 23% of a year, but who's counting ?
Sunday and my first night in my own bed - didn't sleep to badly at all.
I can only get around the house either with crutches or with a Zimmer frame.
