2012

January

  1.   January 1st  -  Once again I start as I mean to go on by riding the bike, the only thing missing . . . . . . . a cafe.

  2.   January 8th  -  DOT goes down by the river . . . . . then hightails it to the cafe.

  3.   January 15th  -  We go to Rhayader for the weekend - visit the seaside . . . . .and stop at the cafe on the way home.

  4.   January 22nd   -  I sally forth, and return with another BSA . . . . sadly I stopped at a palace, not a cafe.

  5.   January 29th  -  "Off with his head"  - and out with his piston whilst you're at it.  Bantam disembowelled  . . . . and ne'er a cafe in sight.

    February

  6.   February 5th  -  The world changes colour . . . .which is not conducive to cafe attendance.

  7.   February 12th  -  I get annoyed with poor quality aftermarket parts . . . . . . quite put me off going to the cafe, it did.

  8.   February 19th  -  Quite a busy week, with one thing and another . . . . . but I manage to visit at least three cafes.

  9.   February 26th  -  The Drifter gets an MOT.   The Bantam goes home - then gets dismembered . . . . . the B33 goes to a cafe. 

    March

  10.   March 4th  -  Lots of bike bits bought.   A fair bit of work done in the garage . . . . . . and ne'er a cafe in sight.

  11.   March 11th  -  A bloody puncture on the Bullet.  The Bantam changes colour and voltage . . . . . . brekky in a local cafe on Saturday.

  12.   March 18th  -  More hospitals.  The Bantam has a bit of a mishap.  The Moonshiner's rally . . . . . . .and a curry at the Sanam

  13.   March 25th  -  We head for Wistanstow . . . The Bantam learns that smoking is bad for you . . . and a cuppa at Harry Tuffin's.

    April

  14.   April 1st  -  A week of tending the needs of a sick Bantam . . . and some horrendous piston slap . . . followed by eating therapy at the cafe on Sunday.

  15.   April 8th  -  I go BSA hunting in the Cotswolds . . . bagged a spare engine and a complete bike . . . . didn't manage to bag any cafes though.

  16.   April 15th  -  The Drifter gets a new gear change . . . .  DOT gets a new ignition system . . . . I get photographed . . . . .but not in the cafe.

  17.   April  22nd  -  DOT has a run around . . . . An engine gets resurrected . . . . the Bullet goes out to play . . . . and it all started at the cafe.

  18.   April 29th  -  Quite a bit of rain . . . one warm, dry day, so the Bantam goes out on test . . . . and also goes to the cafe.

    May

  19.   May 6th  -  The Bantam loses its wheels . . . .the B33 goes out . . . .the Bullet goes to the seaside . . . . and visits The Old Station Cafe

  20.   May 13th  -  The Bullet goes on a ride out . . . . two hills and four cafes . . . as you can imagine, at least four cafes were visited.

  21.   May 20th  -  The Bantam gets its wheels back . . . the B33 goes to the dams . . .the Bantam goes to Millmeece . . . . and a cafe.

  22.   May 27th  -  I go to court . . . the B33 goes for MOT . . . we meet at Mad Mike's Meet . . . . and then to the cafe.

    June

  23.   June 3rd  -  The Bantam gets a carrier . . . I get antibiotics . . . .the weather gets wet . . . . the cafe gets given a miss.

  24.   June 10th  -  Rather a lot of rain . . . I make a start on the Bantam Sports . . .the B33 goes for dinner . . . .at the cafe.

  25.   June 17th  -  The Bullet gets an MOT . . . . the Bullet gets a ride on the back of a lorry . . . the Bullet goes to an airfield . . . . and a cafe.

  26.   June 24th  -  The Bantam gets an MOT . . . .the Bullet goes to church . . . .  the Bullet goes to the Royal Enfield open day . . . . and then to the cafe.

    July

  27.   July 1st  -  The Bantam goes for a smoke at Cannock . . . my eyeballs get tested . . . the Guzzi goes to the Cat and Fiddle . . . . .which is as good as a cafe.

  28.   July 8th  -   I go to hospital . . . the Guzzi goes on a cafe crawl . . .I kill the Enfield . . .Darwin goes to Millmeece . . . . and a couple of cafes.

  29.   July 15th  -  I go to hospital - again . . . the B33 goes to the Peak District and the seaside . . .and a few cafes . . . the BRUB goes to the cafe.

  30.   July 22nd  -  Darwin gets wet, and goes to the cafe . . . . the Bullet does Wales ( with no rain ) . . . . . and a curry house, along with a few cafes.

  31.   July 29th  -  Darwin goes to Matlock . . .the Bullet goes to Tintern . . .The B33 visits a castle . . .The Guzzi gets an MOT . . .DOT goes to a sprint.

    August

  32.   August 5th  -  I pay a visit to see the "toe cutter" . . . . DOT goes to Netherton and comes back with a bed, of all things . . . . at least I did visit one cafe.

  33.   August 12th  -  The B33 goes out to play . . . .DOT gets to tow the "dog kennel" again . . . . .and I get to spend a weekend away . . . .cafe included.

  34.   August 19th  -  I go to court  again - ( see May 27th ) . . . the B33 goes to Bridgnorth . . . .I take the car to . . . . a cafe.

  35.   August 26th  -  The Bullet finds a secret bunker ( and a cafe ) . . .  Darwin takes to the hills . . . .and takes to a cafe as well.

    September

  36.   September 2nd  -  The Bullet goes to the Cat and Fiddle . . . . DOT goes to a rally . . . . a distinct lack of cafes this week.

  37.   September 9th  -  The Bullet goes to the seaside . . . . the B33 goes "oop North" . . . . . quite a few cafes make an appearance.

  38.   September 16th  -  DOT goes to a Drifter rally . . . . . the Drifter goes to Toddington . . . . .I go to the Jelly Roll cafe.

  39.   September 23rd  -  The Drifter goes for dinner . . . . .DOT goes on a rally . . . . I miss the rain, but not the cafe.

  40.   September 30th  -  The Drifter goes to hospital  . . . . DOT goes to the cafe . . . . The Bantam goes to a famous cafe.

    October

  41.   October 7th  -  The Bullet gets stoned - I get fed . . . . the Bantam goes to the foot clinic . . . .The Bullet goes to the SVR . . . and the cafe.

  42.   October 14th  -  DOT gets an MOT . . . .the "30 bobber" makes a comeback . . . . the Bantam goes to Hampton Loade . . . .and the cafe.

  43.   October  21st  -  The 30 bobber is back up and running . . . . . something steamy happens at Klondyke Mill . . . .dinner at The Hollies cafe.

  44.   October 28th  -  The 30 bobber goes back to the scene of the accident . . . . DOT goes to Malvern and gets wet . . . . too moist for the cafe.

     

    November

  45.   November 4th  -  Time flies, then crashes . . . . . the 30 bobber goes out on Halloween . . . . .and ends up at the cafe.

  46.   November 11th  -  The Bullet goes to the Cotswolds - and a couple of cafes . . . .DOT goes to Uttoxeter . . . .and a cafe on the way home.

  47.   November 18th  -  Nothing actually went anywhere this week . . . .cafes included.

  48.   November 25th  -  Rain, rain and more rain . . . .the 30 bobber went paddling . . . .then went to the cafe.

    December

  49.   December 2nd  -  DOT gets exhausted . . . ."Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire" . . . . .another two stroke ? . . . . .but no cafes.

  50.   December 9th  -  Rather a cold, grey week . . . .a bit of two stroke fettling . . .a visit to the National Motorcycle Museum . . .but no cafes - again.

  51.   December 16th  -  I buy a TV . . . .curry gets eaten . . . I go back to work ( sort of ) . . . .more two stroke fettling . . . .and I visit the cafe.

  52.   December 23rd  -  I get my hospital appointment . . . .the 30 bobber goes out to play . . . . and ends up at the cafe.

  53.   December 30th  -  The Moonshiners have a bash  . . . . I go to Coventry . . . .a distinct lack of cafes.
