2013

January

  1.   January 6th  -  Start as you mean to go on . . . . so that involved BSA singles and cafes.

  2.   January 13th  -  I get involved with radioactive machinery, sharp knives, ball and socket joints . . . . .but the food was good.

  3.   January 20th -  The world changes colour . . . .still "running in" my new leg.

  4.   January 27th  -  The world goes back to the correct colour . . . .Andy M gave me a lift to . . . . . . the cafe.

    February

  5.   February 3rd  -  Hmm, leg problems . . . . . .I get back on three wheels . . . . .curry time at the Sanam . . . .I get back on two wheels.

  6.   February 10th  -  The Grim Reaper almost reaps my hard drive . . . .  the Bantam gets some new bits . . . single cylinder fun on Sunday.

  7.   February 17th  -  More fun and game with Sandwell N.H.S.  . . . . .the Bantam's new bits arrive - broken . . . . . .DOT gets a bit of fettling.

  8.   February 24th  -  My hip goes for its "first service"  . . .  DOT counts the hours . . .the BRUB gets an MOT.

    March

  9.   March 3rd  -  A rather slow and somewhat painful week . . . . a bike gets delivered . . . . . the Bantam goes to an airfield . . .for a cuppa.

  10.   March 10th  -  The Bullet gets a new tyre . . . .we have one warm and sunny day . . . .my teeth get an X-ray . . . . . AGM for the MAG.

  11.   March 17th  -  I successfully spend another year on this planet . . . . . DOT goes to Hampton Loade and gets wet.

  12.   March 24th  -  Spring is here . . . .  and so is the snow . . . which just about sums it up.

  13.   March 31st  -  I get a new camera . . .  the B31 wakes from hibernation . . . .Sunday dinner at the cafe.

    April

  14.   April 7th  -  Two April Fools get frozen . . . my leg has its second service . . . I ride in an ambulance . . .Eggs and Cafes and Bikes, oh my !

  15.   April 14th  -  The Guzzi sees the light . . . The TCT gets a good clean . . . the TCT gets back on the road . . . the TCT stops . . . the B31 goes to a cafe.

  16.   April 21st  -  The B33 emerges from the garage . . . .  DOT visits a cafe and almost gets a 20000 mile service . . . the B31 goes for a walk in the park.

  17.   April 28th  -  I get a bike lift fitted in the garage . . . .the B31 goes playing with chickens at the Cat and Fiddle - but has to stop for an oatcake on the way.

    May

  18.   May 5th  -  Spring has sprung for the B31 . . . . DOT had a bit of trouble with the wind . . . .the cafe at Wetton Mill had to be tried.

  19.   May 12th  -  DOT gets fettled . . . . the B31 gets fettled . . . . I get fed . . . then get wet.

  20.   May 19th  -  "Calling International Rescue" . . . . the B31 meets some mechanical horses . . .the B33 meets a bacon and cheese oatcake.

  21.   May 26th  -  The B33 gets a new tyre . . . .I visit the pain management team . . . .dinner at Dom's is the order of the day on Sunday.

    June

  22.   June 2nd  -  The TCT goes to Coalville . . . . the Bantam goes  up a hill . . . . the B33 goes to Shackerstone station for coffee and cake.

  23.   June 9th  -  My "emergency tooth extraction" fails for the third time . . . . the Bullet goes in search of asses . . . . dinner at the Ponderosa cafe.

  24.   June 16th  -  The Bantam gets an MOT . . .the Bullet gets an MOT . . . the B33 gets an MOT . . . classic vehicle time down at Toddington.

  25.   June 23rd  -  The TCT takes to the hills . . . .  a case of "foot and mouth" for me . . . . rain forces us to take shelter in the cafe.

  26.   June 30th  -  The B31 gives up smoking  . . the hip gets its six month service . .   the TCT gets a new seal . .  the BRUB goes to the seaside . . the B33 goes 'oop North.

    July

  27.   July 7th  -  The "big bore" Bantam engine is ever closer . . . . my troublesome tooth is no more . . . cake and coffee at Wetton Mill . . . .I get to sleep in a tent again.

  28.   July 14th  -  I get examined - medically . . . . .I get examined - optically . . . . the Guzzi sallies forth . . . . .bikes, steam trains and ice cream - sounds good to me.

  29.   July 21st  -  DOT goes over the Gospel Pass . . . . .hospital again, only I ain't the patient this time . . .  . I do the Grub's rally - twice.

  30.   July 28th  -  I visit the job centre . . . . I visit the cafe - twice . . .I spend time to-ing and fro-ing twixt home and the hospital.

    August

  31.   August 4th  -  The B31 gets fettled . . . . .DOT goes to Porlock . . . . and Taunton . . . .and Dawlish. . . .and Glastonbury . . . .and Stow on the Wold . . . . and home.

  32.   August 11th  -  DOT goes to the gearbox doctor . . . the Guzzi gets an MOT . . . .I get a better night's sleep . . . the TCT goes to the Old Station Cafe.

  33.   August 18th  -  The TCT gets a bit of fettling . . . the Dog Kennel gets lit up . . . DOT takes up smoking again.

  34.   August 25th  -  The TCT starts tripping  . . . . the TCT stops tripping . . .the rest of the week doesn't get any better either.

    September

  35.   September 1st  -  The B33 goes to a show . . . the TCT goes to a museum and a cafe . . . the TCT takes the Dog Kennel to the 'Dashers.

  36.   September 8th  -  The TCT gets some new push rod tubes . . . I get more physiotherapy . . . . .and some dinner whilst watching steam trains.

  37.   September 15th -  I get acupunctured . . . .the Bantam falls in the rubbish bin . . . more two stroke madness is acquired.

  38.   September  22nd  -  I end up with a four inch gash - Ooer Missus  . . . .the Bantam goes Welsh.

  39.   September 29th  -  The MZ has a working hand gear change . . . the Bantam has new sprocket fixings . . . .I end up in Stoke Mandeville hospital.

    October

  40.   October 6th  -  I get back home from Stoke Mandeville - and so does the Bantam . . . . the Sanam was visited . . . . the BRUB goes train spotting, then to the Peak District.

  41.   October 13th  -  A couple of vehicles get MOT certificates . . . the dentist extracts money as opposed to teeth . . . .I eat dinner at a cafe - with no ambulance involved.

  42.   October 20th  - I go to hospital . . . I go to the doctors . . . I  go to another hospital . . . . I  go to yet another hospital . . . .I bloody give up !

  43.   October 27th  - I go to hospital - again . . . . . . I spend a week doing bugger all . . . . dinner time at Quatford.

    November

  44.   November 3rd  -  I meet the beast with eight legs . . . . . . pain stopped play, as they say.

  45.   November 10th  -  My leg gets the needle for the last time . . . my feet pass their "MOT" . . . the B31 goes for dinner.

  46.   November 17th  -  I get my teeth worked on . . . . the Suzuki's buyer didn't show . . . the TCT goes for dinner.

  47.   November 24th  -  My left leg gets declared a "Write Off" . . . . the Suzuki is still here . . . . at least the cafe was open.

    December

  48.   December 1st  -  Another visit to the QE . . . . I venture South for some MZ bits . . . . the TCT takes in Sandwell Valley.

  49.   December 8th  -  I get to grips with a bit of wiring . . . . I end up in court at Bristol . . . . . the Guzzi goes out for dinner at the Unicorn.

  50.   December 15th  -  The Bantam gets a bit of care and attention . . . . .the Suzuki goes off to live in South Wales . . . . I never even went out for dinner.

  51.   December 22nd  -  After a 41 year rest, the Bantam Sports gets some attention . . . . and that's about it.

  52.   December 29th  -  My missing tool reappears . . . . Christmas dinner gets eaten . . . the Moonshiners have a party . . . . we end the year on a bike show.
